Celebrity Big Brother star found dead
Heavy D, who rose to fame on Storage Hunters UK, was found in his North London flat having been “dead on his kitchen floor for at least two days”, his brother reported. Heavy D’s brother Patrick went to his home to check on him after he went quiet on social media.
Patrick called his brother “the life and soul of the party” in an interview with Mail Online. It is suspected that Heavy D, whose real name was Colin Newell, had a heart attack, though this is yet to be confirmed.
Bruno Tonioli will not return to Strictly Come Dancing
Bruno Tonioli planned to re-join the panel of judges on Strictly Come Dancing, after finishing a stint on Dancing with the Stars in the US. He was supposed to be back in the UK for the Strictly live shows this week. However, show bosses decided it would be safer for him to stay in the US.
He will be continuing his cameo role on Strictly’s Sunday night results show via video call. Usually, Bruno flies between the US and the UK to star on the panel for both shows. However, the pandemic has made it unsafe for him to do so this year.
Piers Morgan said he would do I’m a Celeb for £10 million
Reports this week claimed that Vernon Kay is this year’s highest paid competitor on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! It is rumoured he has been paid £250,000 for the gig. Following a question on a Twitter Q&A, Piers Morgan said he would go on the show, but only for the hefty price tag of £10 million.
He continued on Twitter saying he “wouldn’t be able to stop laughing when my camp-mates turned on the crowd-pleasing ‘PLEASE DON’T VOTE ME OFF!’ waterworks”.
Phillip Schofield accused of breaking COVID rules live on This Morning
Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were subjected to speculation as the camera angle on Thursday’s This Morning made it appear as though the pair were holding hands. It occurred while they were discussing new COVID guidelines released by Boris that will impose stricter restrictions on most of the UK.
In the segment, Schofield said: “Everyone’s at breaking point. I know I am, actually, as a matter of fact.” He later posted on his Instagram story, joking about the camera angle and the audience’s reactions.
Mads Mikkelsen confirmed to replace Johnny Depp in new Fantastic Beasts film
After previously claiming it was just a rumour, Entertainment Weekly officially confirmed that Mikkelsen will be starring in the new film as Gellert Grindelwald. The Danish actor is replacing Johnny Depp, who revealed on Instagram in November that he had “been asked to resign by Warner Bros”.
This follows his recent libel case over being called a “wife beater”. He lost the claim after the stories about his behaviour with ex-wife, Amber Heard, were found to be “substantially true”. Despite the casting switch-up, the new film is still on track to be released in summer 2022.
