A new documentary released on Hulu this week showed Britney Spears’ ongoing conservatorship battle with her father Jamie Spears. He currently has conservatorship over her estate and restricts her ability to make any financial decisions. He was given permanent conservatorship in 2008 after Britney was hospitalised for mental health struggles.
Her former manager, Kim Kaiman, has since come forward to say her father “isn’t a good manager” and insisted she no longer needed to be under conservatorship. In November, Britney’s announced she would be refusing to perform until her father is no longer “in charge” of her career and finances.
Carol Vorderman reveals her daughter is applying to be an astronaut
Carol Vorderman announced that her daughter, Katie King, is applying for a role at the European Space Agency (ESA) as an astronaut. Vorderman said her daughter was "beyond excited" at the opportunity to apply for the position as this is the first time the ESA has recruited new astronauts in 11 years.
The former Countdown co-host runs an online maths programme called The Maths Factor, which her daughter teaches alongside her. Katie currently works as a research scientist and is working towards her PhD at the University of Cambridge.
Stacey Solomon slams critics of photos of her son in the snow without gloves
Stacey Solomon has been criticised online for sharing photos online of her children playing in the snow which included her 1-year-old son Rex without gloves. She hit back at the “glove police” on Instagram, posting: “If I could get Rex to keep his gloves, hat and coat on I would. Believe me. But he is a toddler… Anyone out there keeping all items of winter wear on their toddlers all day is my hero.”
The photos showed her with her fiancé Joe Swash with Rex and their other two children, Zachary and Leighton, taking a half-day off from homeschooling to enjoy the snow. She has recently shared concerns that Rex hasn’t been able to socialise with children his age enough during lockdown.
Westlife have been dropped by their record label a year after their comeback album
Westlife's record label, EMI, has reportedly dropped the group since their comeback album last year "didn't sell as well as the team had hoped". A music insider said they had planned a 2020 tour that wasn't able to go ahead, and they believe this hurt the album's sales.
The reunion album, Spectrum, featured songs written by Ed Sheeran and James Bay and sold 500,000 copies globally. Despite losing their deal with EMI, a spokesman has said they are planning a new album, a global tour, a TV show and a documentary special for 2021
Former Eastenders star Katie Jarvis charged with racially aggravated harassment
Former Eastenders star Katie Jarvis, who portrayed Hayley Slater on the show, was reportedly involved in a “drunken brawl” in Essex last July and is facing two charges of assault and one charge of racially aggravated harassment and using threatening words or behaviour.
She is due to appear before a judge in Southend in April. The alleged brawl was caught on video and witnesses have said a woman was sworn at and called racialised insults. Jarvis left Eastenders in 2019 and has since worked as a security guard at a B&M store.
