Long-running TV quiz show Never Mind the Buzzcocks is coming back to our screens after nearly seven years. The show ran for 28 series on the BBC but is coming back on Sky, with Inbetweeners star Greg Davies hosting. Noel Fielding is returning as a team captain, but rival team captain Phill Jupitus has been replaced by This Country writer Daisy May Cooper.

Greg Davies said: “I have always loved Never Mind the Buzzcocks and am thrilled to be the new host on Sky. We have brilliant comedic talent on the team and plenty of exciting musical guests will be joining us.” An insider told The Sun: “It’s a tried-and-tested format and one Sky were delighted to bring back. Greg is perfect for the role. Noel is in his rightful home and Daisy is a great addition to the cast.

Susanna Reid slams mask crackdown on London Underground

Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid grilled London Mayor Sadiq Khan on the daily ITV show about the newly announced enforcement of masks on London public transport after Covid-19 restrictions lift on 19 July. Reid told Khan: "The point is, at the moment it is the law and you can’t enforce it.” She added: “I was on the tube the other day and half of the carriage were not wearing face masks and that is while it is enshrined in legislation.”

Khan responded: “It is an imperfect solution. He assured Reid: “I’m confident that actually, Londoners will do the right thing.” Madeley also questioned how the new rules would be enforced: “Who is going to enforce this? The British Transport Police? The bus driver? That is the key question.”

The Spice Girls miss Emma Bunton’s wedding

Emma Bunton married Jade Jones, her partner of 23 years this week, and to fans’ surprise, the other Spice Girls were nowhere to be seen. The couple married in an intimate ceremony in the Cotswolds with just six guests: their mothers, their two children, and two close friends acting as witnesses.

A source explained: “Emma and Jade wanted to celebrate with only a handful of people. They kept the whole ceremony a secret from everyone, but wanted their kids there… If they’d had a bigger ceremony, the girls would have been invited, but they wanted it to be really intimate.”

Channel 4 announces new naked competition show

Channel 4 have announced they have plans for a new nude program on E4 to rival Naked Attraction. Titled The Great Nature Run, the reality series will see contestants race naked around the country. The show will see two pairs of strangers race with no possessions (and no clothes) to several checkpoints, completing challenges while collecting makeshift clothes and tools along the way.

The winners will receive a cash prize for charity. The show has reportedly started recruiting brave contestants for the pilot episode. However, there is no guarantee it will develop into series. E4 is currently looking for new unscripted shows to launch on the channel to appeal to its millennial audience, which is currently at a 10-year low.

Gillian Anderson vows to ditch bras for good

In an Instagram Live Q&A with fans, The Crown star Gillian Anderson admitted that after becoming “lazy” during the Covid-19 lockdowns, she plans to ditch bras altogether. A fan asked about her favourite lockdown outfit, the 52-year-old actress replied: “It’s probably the same one as my out of lockdown outfit – comfortable black track pants and a matching hoodie. I’d wear that every day if I could.”

She continued: “I mean, I’ve gotten so lazy, and I don’t wear a bra anymore. I can’t wear a bra. I can’t, no, I can’t. I’m sorry. I don’t care if my breasts reach my belly button, I’m not wearing a bra anymore.” Many fans took to social media to agree with Anderson and explain they had also ditched bras since lockdown.
