Gordon Ramsay reveals he cancelled 22,000 restaurant bookings before lockdown

Gordon Ramsay has revealed that he cancelled more than 22,000 bookings across his restaurants when the UK went into its third lockdown at the end of 2020. He owns 35 restaurants across the country and said it was “devastating” to see the pandemic’s effects on the hospitality industry.

Despite the difficulties he's faced, he said he plans to open up more restaurants after lockdown. He hopes he will be able to reopen his restaurants at Easter, and that it will be as "monumental and electrifying" as when they reopened after the first lockdown in July.
